On 30 April 2026, Mun Hean Singapore conducted a Lunch & Learn session with ARUP, bringing together electrical consultants for a technical exchange on modern protection technologies and electrical system reliability.

The session featured presentations and demonstrations on the growing relevance of MH Type B earth leakage relay (ELR) and MH protection relay in today’s electrical environments, where increasingly complex loads and power electronic equipment require more advanced protection strategies. Participants also explored the negative impacts of incorrect electrical protection on safety, operational continuity and overall system performance.

The sharing covered the advantages of Type B (ELR) protection, together with practical applications relating to earth fault and earth leakage detection across different installation environments. In addition, the session highlighted key code requirements, applicable standards, compliance testing considerations to support informed engineering design and specification.
