The increased usage of high efficiency cooling system utilizing EC motor fan non-linear loads has led to an increase in Residual Leakage Current with DC and high frequency content induced to the power network. Conventional RCD and Type-A ELR are unable to correctly interpret the actual total Leakage Current and risk nuisance tripping event.

The new generation of MH ELR-D with Type-B and Janitza UMG96PQL Type-B+ RCM allow precise measurement of non-linear loads Residual Leakage Current from DC to 20kHz content.  This ensures correct electrical protection network coordination scheme to be configured with precise tripping performance.
